Cold Roof & Boston Ridge · Wood River Valley

BUILT ABOVE THE ROOFLINE.

Ventilated roof assemblies designed to manage snow, moisture, and Idaho’s demanding winter conditions.

Engineered for Winter

KEEP THE ROOF COLD.
KEEP THE HOME PROTECTED.

Our cold roof and Boston ridge systems maintain continuous airflow from eave to ridge, helping prevent ice dams and moisture buildup—delivering dependable performance in Idaho’s toughest winters.

How the System Works

AIRFLOW, FROM EAVE TO RIDGE.

Ventilated Over-Roof

A secondary roof deck is installed above the primary insulated roof, creating a continuous ventilation channel that moves cool air from the soffit or eave up to the ridge.

02

Boston Ridge Exhaust

A raised Boston ridge creates a generous, protected exhaust opening above the peak, allowing warm, moist air to escape and keeping the system effective in deep snow.

Weather-Tight Finish

Carefully installed membranes, precision flashing, and high-quality fasteners create a durable, watertight finish built to stand up to wind, snow, and freeze–thaw cycles.

Cold-Climate Performance

DESIGNED TO MOVE AIR.
BUILT TO MANAGE SNOW.

By separating interior heat from the outer roof surface, our cold roof and Boston ridge systems reduce freeze–thaw stress, help prevent ice-dam formation, and allow moisture to escape—keeping your home dry, efficient, and protected.

Continuous Airflow

Uninterrupted ventilation from eave to ridge helps remove heat and moisture before they cause problems inside your home.

Ice-Dam Resistance

A cold roof and raised ridge work together to reduce ice-dam risk—especially in Idaho’s heavy snow and freeze cycles.

Precise Flashing

Meticulous flashing and detailing at every transition protect against wind-driven snow and water intrusion for years.
